A round of applause πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ to all the graduates

Over the last 7 months in San Francisco, I have had the pleasure with working with so many talented individuals. All of these students have gone above and beyond to get out of their comfort zones and learn something new. I wanted to take some time out to give them a round of applause for their accomplishments.

These amazing folks went through the Galvanize 6-month web development immersive program. They started at different levels but all shared the same passion and ambition to become software engineers. With over 1000+ hours logged into development with languages/frameworks like Javascript, Python, Go, HTML, CSS, Node, Express, React, React Native, and so much more. They accomplished so much in the time they were given and am excited for you to venture into the technology world.

Stripe – Stripe Foundations – Clumps

I was late to join the team at Stripe. In that small amount of time, we learned so many skills in the fundamentals of software development. Stripe invests into their employees and creates a course to teach software fundamentals for those who have the ambition and grit to get through it. The drive to learn was strong in this group of amazing human beings. Over the course, we learned HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ruby, and process transactions using Stripe.

Vets in Tech – Web Development Immersive – Navy, Marines, & Army

I first want to thank each and every one of you for serving our country. Your passion for learning and getting started in the technology world is inspiring to say the least. I am very lucky to have been your instructor through the program. Everyone started at different places but ended up building a complete website from start to finish. We learned HTML, CSS, Javascript, Git, and how to integrated 3rd party API’s. I know some of you are now working in the industry and I couldn’t be more proud.
