In our first Vlog post Brendan shows you how to get data from a Google Sheet sent to your front-end in JSON format. A useful trick for any site with data that needs to be edited by non-coders or quickly getting to your proof-of-concept without making a real database.


Follow these steps using Google Drive:

1) Create a Google Sheet

2) Delete blank rows and columns

3) File; Publish to Web; Publish

In your web page:

4) Send your JSON request to:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/feeds/list/  YOUR_API_KEY  /od6/public/values?alt=json
